The Under Secretary of State for Foreign
Affairs begs to acknowledge communication
No. 083/5535 (M.0.1) of today's date received from
the Director of Military Operations and
Intelligence, enclosing cypher wire
No. 125 from G.0.0. Hongkong, dated the 24th
instant.
With reference to the enquiry in the last
sentence of this telegram, Sir Willie Tyrrell
considers that British troops in that area should
on no account be employed outside the frontier
without specific instructions from His Majesty's
Government.
